Airlines.... Again

Ugh It's been a long time since I posted here, I was quite proud of myself dealing with life's BS without feeling the need to complain... and then I decided Heck I will go home again for X-mas this yr and scheduled a flight to NY.

The last 2 yrs of X-mas flying has been such complete and utter hell I swore I'd take a yr off.... but things had been going well so I figured I'd do it and BAM 1 week after purchasing the damn ticket they're already screwing me over!  I had one of the nicest flight schedules, I'd wake up at a decent hour of 8, get ready, drive there, be at the airport around 10:30-11ish  Board my flight around 12, I'd have a 2hr layover in Detroit, and then I'd fly home, get there around 11.   They decided to bump up the first flight by 3 hrs, while leaving the 2nd alone...  Now I'll need to get up around 5am, and my layover will be about 5 hrs long.  They just forced me to get up early in the morning and the overall trip will be 3 hrs longer... I mean come on.

It's not that horrible when you compare it to past events, but when you consider the flight hasn't even happened yet.... and there is so much tiem from now to Dec, who knows how many times they will change my flight plans.  The fact that they can change things by hours, force me to get their hours in advance when I planned and paid for this exact flight is ridiculous.  What if they try to change one of my layover flights earlier and I only have like 15 min to transfer at the airport?  It looks like they can do this crap... *sigh*

Online Job Applications

They always allow you to upload your resume, but then they make you fill out their stupid applications which is just a repeat of your resume.  Why bother uploading the resume if I have to type up all my work experience, education, and skills all over again.  *sigh*

Obama Haters

I'm not talking about all Obama haters, I'm talking about the one's with signs like these:

Ok it's the USofA, you can dislike our president, disagree with him, thats your right as a US citizen, but putting a hitler mustache on him is just plain disrespectful.  I don't care who you are, you don't do that.  So few people deserve to be compared to Hitler, and Obama is def not one of them.  So it really makes me rage when I'm minding my own business going to mail a package and I get harassed by these rude idiots and their ridiculous signs and when I tell them to leave me alone or shut up they attack me accuse me of being rude.  The truth is, if Obama was anything like hitler, people like them wouldn't be at the postoffice annoying people, they'd be on their way to a concentration camp.  This is why signs like the above piss me off.  Especially when the only thing they're bitching about is the NASA cut.

Sony/PSN (but mostly Sony)

So I've gone awhile without raging, seems I'm becoming desensitized to the bad drivers and other crap I usually get upset over.... but my typical outlet for rage aside from this blog would be my PS3.... and as some of you may know, the online network for the ps3 has been down.

The first day it was down I was like: pffft whatever, they'll be back up tomorrow.
The next day I was like: oh they're not up, maybe tomorrow?
the 3rd day: Ok whats up Sony!?!
At some point it became known that the network was down due to hackers.  And in time we found out the hackers were using dev accounts, which were apparently super easy to get, like any noob could do it.  And as time went on we found out that through these dev accounts you could get just about anything, passwords, creditcard info, other personal info, pretty much everything you expect to be secure was not.

Apparently it wasn't obvious that you could get the personal info, but it wasn't impossible... and that leads me to 3 things to rage about:
1) Why were the dev accounts so easy to get?
2) Why was there any possibility for the dev accounts to actually acquire our personal info!?!?!
3) Why weren't our passwords hashed or something?

So 1 is an obvious stupid mistake.  Obviously it shouldn't be so simple for non-devs to get a dev account.  A Truly lame reason for this crap to be happening. But 2 is what really makes me rage beyond belief.  Because the devs are just devs!!!   Why should there be any possibility for them to get our personal info.  And to have our passwords obtainable is just messed up!!!!  I barely know much about programming, but I know what hashing is and when it was explained to me, it was explained to me like it was the normal thing companies do when they require a password for their website.  Why Sony didn't do this, is beyond me.

These mistakes are sooooo stupid, I mean you have to be an idiot to design this and to think it was secure!!!  I can't believe they thought this would slide and it'd never get exposed or exploited.

And whats the absolute worst part of ALL of this!?!?  As much as all this makes me rage I still can't play any online PS3 games!!!!!  I'm dying from withdrawal here!!!!

Those Wiggle Words

UGH I hate them!!!  Whenever you make a new account or want to browse through your photos and download them on some forum or whatever you have to type out this stupid word that's all wiggly and blurred and stuff.  The thing is, half the time it's not even a word!!!  It's some random assortment of letters that is close to a word but isn't actually a word and so half the time I think I'm reading a real word but then if I stare at it long enough I realize it's not.  And to make matters worse, half the time they also have numbers, but they forget that 0(zero) looks like o and 1(one) looks like l and  or I(cap i)...  and the ones that are case sensitive!!!  ARGH!

Anyway you have expect them for new accounts and photo sharing, but to use Google search!?!?!  Seriously, I had to do it to use google search... *sigh*

My Apartment Complex

OMG they make me rage so much.  The stupid woman who always answers the phone has got to be the most incompetent person I've met, the mere fact that her job probably pays more than mine makes me rage sooooo much.  She is the most stupid person.  And the maintenance jerk that keeps parking in my spot and the "claim" that they can't do anything about it, when all I've ever asked from them was to PUT UP A STUPID SIGN, UGH i so want to live, if only knic didn't have his surgery I'd Move in a heartbeat, I've just plain had it with them.

I'll be sure to review them on ever apartment website out their, people need to know the crap they'll be getting themselves into.

Washington State's Education Certifcation

Wow I actually had a moment of insanity and tried to apply for WA substitute certification.  At first I went to the website: http://www.k12.wa.us/certification/

Aside from being littered with broken links(the least of my annoyances), they suggest that regardless of all my past experience, my masters, or anything that all I need to be a substitute is 2 things:

"-Must have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university
-Have completed a state-approved college/university teacher preparation program, to include teaching methodology and internship.  In Washington there are 22 state-approved teacher preparation programs. "

In other words it flat out states I need to take one of their state approved teacher preparation programs.  This didn't seem right and when I first moved here I remembered the qualifications were different, so I called and told the lady on the phone that I was certified in NY and had a masters and everything.  She said to me I was already qualified and all I had to do was apply for the certificate.

Ok cool, so I go to the certification place and I make an account and try to apply.  It appears that the website AND the lady on the phone are both wrong.  I need to take 2 tests, and have my fingerprints done AGAIN(despite having it done in NY)....
